Sex, Sexuality, Sensuality and More

Want some juicy sex and sensuality...we thought so!

We talk a lot about pleasure at Hot Pink YOUniversity. Pleasure in all of it’s forms. In our book, Ignite Your Life, we have a whole chapter dedicated to pleasure and how to cultivate more. From little, to middle, to big…things that take 5 minutes to weeklong opportunities.

Sex and sexuality are a part of pleasure. It is not the whole story. But, it is an important part of an overall pleasure filled life.

Let's Talk About Sex...

Recently, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting this amazing woman, Pam Costa, Down to There.  She is a featured Ted Talk speaker and Somatica trained therapist.  Through her research, she has found that the more women talk about sex, the more they are having sex.  Beginning soon will be virtual talking circles with Pam moderating the discussion herself.  Powerful options to join this group of women are waiting for you. From a monthly subscription to picking and choosing the months you desire to join...

Check out her Ted Talk here

What if you could have more of a connection with your sexuality?  What would that feel like? And, how would you go about doing that?

We know that women who are connected with their sensuality have greater satisfaction in other areas of their lives as well...creativity, spirituality, money and relationships. So, some basic facts we would invite you to consider:

Sexuality can be a solo-endeavor

Just because you are not in partnership.  Or, in a dissatisfied or sexless partnership, or in between partnerships...sexuality does not need to go away or to take the backseat.  Women think in terms of sexuality as "sex with my partner", but sensuality, sexuality can be much more delicious and expansive.

And the toys and possible play activities can be limitless.

Sexuality can be how you dress, how you move your body, your self-talk as you look in the mirror, getting your flirt on, being present to your body and noticing the curves and smells and abilities, taking good self-care of your body in all ways.

You may have been taught some pretty shitty things around sexuality

Women shouldn't enjoy it.
It is for the man, not us.
It is wrong to want pleasure.
Sex can be used against you.
Sex=trauma.
And, so many others.

When we reclaim our sexual pleasure, sexual sovereignty, our own desires...we expand what sex can and should be in our lives:

Joy
Abundance
Creative
Connection to the divine...there might be a reason we shout, "OH MY GOD", when we climax
Pleasure is our birthright

If you have been starved and untouched.  If you have had hunger for more.  Start the conversation with yourself and find your tribe of other women doing the same,

Our top list of books to expand your pleasure potential:

Dr. Saida Desilets was a featured speaker on our 2016 Brave Woman Summit. Her use of the Jade Egg and coaching around this practice was pretty incredible and can be found in her book, Emergence of the Sensual Woman.

Come as You Are. What’s more sexy than sex and science?! Emily Nagoski sheds a light on sexuality for all of us who like to nerd out in life.

Sex for One, Betty Dodson. Masturbation must have. Body love as you are.

Casually leaving this out for partners might set the tone for your pleasure. She Comes First, by Ian Kerner. Heterosexual partnerships supplies your must have for women.

And, for the Erotica in you…Melissa Cutler knows how to write to wet your appetite. Check out all of her titles here. No shame. Men are visual consumers and women like to read the narrative.

I actually own this threadbare album from my father’s estate. I have such great memories of sneaking this onto the turn table when my dad was out at night, thinking this was raunchy and racy at the time, and that I was getting away with something. Music to Strip By.

The build up. Earned It. Yes!
